Live camera
Live in SPINATOR: how it works and rules
During an online match, you can show your face to your opponent with your phone camera. It is optional, you can stop it anytime, and your video goes to your opponent only.
Show your video in 4 steps
- In the headset, open Online, then create or join a room. The Show yourself on video block displays a QR code and your camera code (for example 4821-1: the room code, then 1 for the host or 2 for the guest).
- On your phone, scan the QR code, or open the camera page below and type your camera code.
- Read and accept the live rules, then allow the camera when your browser asks.
- Set the phone in front of you, 1 to 2 metres away and a little high, and keep the page open. Your opponent sees you in a LIVE window next to their table.

To stop seeing your opponent's video: in the headset's Online menu, tap the opponent video switch to hide it. To stop your camera: tap Stop on the phone, or simply close the page.
You need a recent browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Samsung Internet) and a decent connection. On some mobile networks the video goes through a relay and can take a few seconds to appear.
Watch a match as a spectator
On the game page, the Live matches list shows public matches. You can also enter the code of a private match your friends gave you. Follow the match in your browser with TV-style camera shots, or in your headset, and send reactions and gifts.
- The room host decides whether spectators are allowed (Spectators allowed setting in the Online lobby) and can close the live at any time.
- Players always see the number of spectators (LIVE badge).
- Spectators never receive the camera video or voices: they only see the virtual headsets, paddles, ball, nicknames and score.
Live rules
By turning on your camera, you agree that your image is sent live to your opponent for the duration of the match, and you commit to these rules. If you do not respect them, do not turn it on.
- Film only yourself. If someone else may appear in the picture (family, flatmate…), ask for their consent first, or frame yourself so they don't appear.
- Do not record or share your opponent's video or voice (screenshot, recording, posting on social media…) without their consent. In France, recording or broadcasting someone's image in a private place without consent is a criminal offence (article 226-1 of the French Penal Code), and everyone has the right to their image and privacy (article 9 of the Civil Code). Similar rules exist in most countries.
- Forbidden content: nudity or sexual content, violence, harassment, insults, hateful or discriminatory remarks, illegal content, advertising. Play fair.
- Protect your privacy: avoid showing personal information (address, documents, screens, a window facing the street).
- Minors: if you are under 15, ask a parent before using the camera or microphone. We recommend parents stay with younger players and only use video with people they know (private room with a code).
- A problem? In the headset, tap Report / block (online lobby or Pause menu). Report sends the player's nickname, the room code, the date and the reason to the studio. Block cuts their video and voice at once, takes you out of the room, and quick match will never pair you again. You can also write to contact@immergence-studio.fr. If someone is in danger, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe).
Your video, your voice and your data
- Phone video: sent live and encrypted from your phone to your opponent's headset (WebRTC). It is never recorded, stored or watched by Immergence Studio. When a direct connection is not possible, it goes through a Cloudflare relay that only forwards it.
- Voice: if you allow the headset microphone, your voice takes the same path, live, to your opponent only. You can mute it in the menu.
- Game server: connects players and carries match data (positions, score, nickname, room code, reactions, gifts). It is used only for the current match and deleted automatically a few hours after the room ends at the latest. It also knows the country of your connection (to show your flag) and keeps anonymous usage counters (see the privacy policy).
- Reports and blocks: each headset has a random anonymous ID (no account, no real name). Your block list stays in your headset. A report is kept on the server while it is handled, 12 months at most, for moderation only.
- Coins, challenges, badges, customisation, nickname: stored only in your headset's browser.
Camera and microphone are optional: you can play online without them, and withdraw your consent anytime. Full details in our privacy policy. Questions or data requests: contact@immergence-studio.fr.
